If designers have enough experiences to realise this, then this is not a new thing to know. Period. And also this….
When reviewing design work, curiosity before critique is a good principle to follow. First, ask questions to make sure you fully understand the solution. Then ask why the team decided as they did. Only jump in with concerns after doing both.
