This is not a typical achievement. Just listed what I did in terms of creation and work that I enjoyed from the idea, solving the problem, to building it. Although I had never tried to sell it hard, like hard selling, or I’m not a marketing person, I know.

So here’s what I’ve done so far as a designer (outside the full-time job and any institution). This is literally to reflect, I’m curious if I remember it well (or not). Let’s see:

• Made Info DKV, a social media account on Twitter about design and design education in 2011, gained 10K followers but stuck because I didn’t update regularly after that – 27yo

• Getting Married, 2012 – 27yo

• Gave birth to the first child, 2013- 28yo

• Open Design online course with chat & email communication on Info DKV, in around 2013-2014 – 28-29 yo (busy with kid and work in the office, so it was stopped)

• Wrote a book and finished the draft about Design Opportunity for recent graduates in 2016 – 32yo

• Gave birth to the second child, 2017 – 32 yo

• Started to work remotely abroad for the first time in Canada in 2016 – 32yo

• Made @DesignAbroad (formerly @TanyaJawabUX -means QuestionsAnswersUX in English- / with UX Change’s username) in 2019 – 35yo

• Started to work remotely from home until now, in 2019. At that time before Covid-19 and Tech Winter, I turned down some of big tech job chances (after I resigned from a large e-commerce), mostly they are in Jakarta (which are different city) and one in the same city as Lead Designer, but at that moment, I just couldn’t take it anymore to work onsite. 35 yo

• Created a Free video online UX Design Job Opportunity Course in total of 2.5 hours, especially for those affected by Covid-19, but basically free for everyone and gain +1000 registrations in mid-2020

• Created a paid video online course in total of 6 hours (I didn’t intentionally make a free course before as a buzz to release the paid one, it just happened as it was) and gained 300+ students in late 2020

• Turn the Instagram design accounts above into a doodle style and gain 9-8 thousand followers in a month for both accounts in early 2021 – 37yo

• Released the draft design book in print that finishes in 2016 with a self-publisher in 2023 with the testimonials from the design expert & creative writers, around 38 yo

• Created an app and launched it independently/bootstrap, Beady App (solo founder)
